Martinez

This precursor to the Martini is a celebration of gin and sweet vermouth. What makes this cocktail perfectly well rounded is the addition of Maraschino liqueur and aromatic bitters. The Martinez is rich and aromatic enough for a cold weather night yet floral enough for a hot summer day. It’s a great cocktail for someone that wants something a bit darker in flavor and richness but without brown spirits.

  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • .75 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • Barspoon Maraschino liqueur
  • 3 dashes Hella Bitters Aromatic
  • Combine ingredients with ice and stir for 8-10 seconds. Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist or Luxardo maraschino cherry.
